Right Blue Edge Formedix Speaking Engagements

During the last quarter, Formedix spoke at two events:

In July, Mark Wheeldon, CEO and Formedix CDISC Expert, spoke at the CDISC Bay Area User Group Meeting. The title of his presentation was "ODM – The Operational Efficiency Model: Using ODM to Deliver Proven Cost and Time Savings in Study Set-up".

This presentation, which is available here from our website, gave an overview on how Formedix clients have saved time and money in their clinical trials through adoption and use of the CDISC ODM (Operational Data Model) standard.

Mark demonstrated that CDISC ODM can be used to create libraries of study content which can facilitate up to 80% re-use. This allowed one of our clients to decrease their standards maintenance resources by 23% and gave them a return on investment in only 8 months. The resulting study content library is available here. Another of our clients achieved a 68% reduction in the time taken in study design and specification through the use of the CDISC ODM standard in conjunction with Formedix Origin Study Modeller.

Also in July, Andy Chambers, Client Solutions Developer, spoke at the CDISC ESUG (English Speaking User Group) meeting in London.

Andy's presentation gave an overview of what Define.xml is and its uses. He explained its purpose and gave some practical examples on how it is used. Andy went on to describe the main benefit of Define.xml as being its machine readability, which facilitates multiple targets, automatic dataset validation, quality assurance reports and automation of ETL load. The presentation is available here for download.
